Product as prescribed. Fast service. It is taller than original that came with mixer.Great mixing bowl, locks in perfectly to my kitchenAid mixer & the bowl cover looks so much better than a big bulky mixer coverThis is a very nice looking mixer bowl, I really like the look of the polished stainless. Decided to add this bowl to my artesian deluxe because of the glass mixing bowl weight. Even with the handle pouring batter with the glass bowl can sometimes be a challenge, the stainless steel bowl solves the weight issue and looks great on the mixer stand. I like the fact that the pouring shield will work with the stainless steel bowl because the shield will bot work with the glass bowl.I had to get this to replace the glass one that came with my Q** purchase. The rubber gasket that held the plastic ring that holds that bowl in place gave up the ghost while I was creaming butter and sugar!!! This was the third time I had actually used the mixer so you can imagine my surprise. KitchenAid has got the consumers by the neck with the way the mixer is set up, you HAVE to have their bowls due to there being no landing pad for a 'regular' bowl the way there was with old fashioned stand mixers. At least this bowl doesn't weight 25#!I bought this bowl to replace the glass bowl that came with my I am here to tell you that this DOES FIT my KitchenAid KSM155GBCA (KSM155GB is the model, the letters that come after GB are just different for each color). I also now see on one site that the bowl is compatible with models that start with KSM150PS, KSM152PS and KSM155GB. I had previously researched endlessly on forums, the KitchenAid site, and Amazon reviews and could not find a definitive answer to whether this fits as an alternative to the glass bowl, but finally I just ordered it and YES it does fit.I've used it about 5-10 times and I have not even gone back to the glass bowl once. It's just so much lighter and easier to wield, to pour out the mix, or to wash, and not worry about breaking etc.Of course you miss out on the nice 'measuring bowl' feature of seeing how much is in the glass bowl, and whether ingredients got mixed off the edge etc., but if I had it all to do over I'd just order the mixer with the metal bowl. The glass bowl is more of a gimmick as far as I'm concerned now.GiftLike some have found, the glass bowl can break and this is a genuine replacement for a Kitchen Aid 5KSM156. This will fit other models but do check as there small differences. Note this will not fit on the larger artisan/commercial mixer, which has a different fitting.Fitted onto the 5KSM156 mixer base and twists in easily to lock.Pictures of the packaging and base provided to allow compare for any copy or pattern replacements.Hopefully the stainless steel bowl will last the lifetime of the mixer. This was a replacement purchase. I had the glass one which I loved especially as it had a spout. Unfortunately glass can easily get broken no matter how much care is taken. I had this for 5 years. So I replaced it with the St/Steel version. Same cost so would have been nice to have a spout too. I know that this one will last a life time and another positive is that it is much lighter than the glass version.Perfect fit for my classic kitchenaid machine, promised myself an extra bowl and now I've got it. Will be so useful when making my bread as I can leave the first batch to rise in one bowl while mixing and kneading the second. This bowl is also easier to attach and remove from the mixer base as the handle gives better leverage especially when you have a large quantity of dough in the bowl, and having a larger capacity than the bowl supplied with the machine is an added bonus.I did think this item was expensive but it fits which you would expect from a named company. It is easy to use and clean and I believe it will last .Perfect role for my KitchenAid very light much better to use
