Cutting backsplashes dry using the wood working chop saws has been the only solution in the past. But the problem is 2 fold. 1. Dust. 2. In the shop environment those chop saws simply don't last.
The Achilli Wet Cutting Sliding Compound Backsplash Saw was designed specifically for the stone shop environment. The Achilli Backsplash Saw comes with a powerful 3 HP 1100 volt 13.5 amp 3400 rpm motor that delivers the most powerful and durable motor ever put on a sliding compound saw.
The Achilli Sliding Compound Backsplash Saw has a water tray with a circulating pump that allows continuous circulation of water to the blade for full continuous wet cutting.
The Achilli Wet Sliding Compound Backsplash Saw accepts a 10",12", and 14" Blades offering a max cutting depth of 4 3/4".
The blade housing will accommodate blades up to a max outside dimension of 14 3/4". This equates to a 14" blade with an 18mm segment height.
The Achilli Backsplash also has plunge cut ability. Included is a plunge cut adjustment knob that can control the plunge cut depth.
The cutting width is 11".
Postive lock stops have been added at 0, 22.5, 45 degree angles.

The Achilli Sliding Compound Saw is a true sliding compound saw with the same features of traditional compound saws.
The Achilli Sliding Compound (Chop Saw) makes straight cuts, bevel cuts, and Plunge cuts.
The Achilli Sliding Compound Saw is made to cut all types of material: granite, marble, Quartz, all natural stones, concrete, cement board, metal, and all other materials that would normally be cut with a standard compound saw. The big difference is that it can cut wet and with a much stronger 3 HP motor. Simply put the correct blade for the material being cut.
The optional Achilli side extensions are 47" long and connect to the Achilli Sliding Compound Saw frame by bolts. The side extensions can be mounted on either or both sides of the saw. The side extensions also connect to each other to accommodate any length of material to be cut. Fully galvanized, height adjustable legs, rip fence included with each 47" section. With 1 section attached to the saw, the total length from blade to the end of the extension is 63". 2 side extensions connected give a total length of 110" from the end of the side extension to the blade.
